DESCRIPTION:The Glendora Unified School District\, in conjunction with the City of Glendora\, is part of an effort by the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services to host a seminar for people who may be interested in adopting a child and/or becoming a Foster Parent. The cities of Azusa\, West Covina\, and Duarte are also partnering in this event.\n\n\n\nDid you know... \n\n\n	California has approximately 55\,851 children in foster care\;\n	Over 13\,000 children are ready\, wishing\, and waiting for a loving family to adopt them\;    \n	If a child is over 8 years old\, chances of being adopted lessen every day. \n\nThe seminar will take place on Saturday\, February 21\, 2015\, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Citrus College. If you or someone you know is interested\, please pass along this information. Participants will be able to hear from\, and talk to\, various expert providers who can help navigate through the process of adoption and/or becoming a foster parent.
